The ceramic v grooved fiber optic fast connector or the field installable connector is designed for the high precision field fiber termination. it provides another great option for the fiber optic fast connectors except the fast connectors with plastic v groove or metal v grooves.
The advantage of fiber optic fast connector with ceramic v groove:

When using plastic groove, bare fibers can sink in plastic creep when clamped in the V groove at the fiber connection point, resulting in transverse offset misalignment, and plastic v groove is easily distorted und the pressure of spring.

The tests that fiber optic fast connectors have passed
1. Low temperature test at -40℃ in 96hours
2. High and low temperature cycle test from 85℃ to -40℃ in 21cycles, 8hours every time, total 168hours
3. Vibration test with frequency range from 10-50Hz, 45times/ minutes for sweep frequency, 0.75mm single amplitude in X, Y, Z three directions and two hours every direction
4. Drop tests: from the 1.5m height above the sample head, 8times
5. High temperature test at 85℃ in 96hours
6. Torsion test loaded with 15N, length at 22~28cm, 10times/minute, 200times
7. Submerging test , put in 25±2℃ running water for 168hours
