As the network speed requirement, we gradually change the copper to fiber, from 2G, 3G, 4G and now coming to 5G network, the cloud service and smart network pushing for higher speed interconnection. 5G network also may means the users will seek the closest network services through the local data centers which are near the based station. the scale development of 5G mobile networks has further aggravated cellular operators’ demand for more network bandwidth and the growing demand for wide area network capacity.
Compared with the current 4G mobile network division, 5G data growth has increased by 10 times, and communication capacity has increased by 100 times. For users of these network devices, the scale of the 5G center cloud data center will become larger and larger. The current 100G port, the backbone of the 5G center cloud data center, will not be able to meet and support the exponential increase in user terminal data volume, and the application of 400G / 800G here will become more urgent. Edge data centers bring services closer to people and applications, and will also bear more responsibility for data processing. So how do many edge data centers and central cloud data centers respond to the exponential increase in the amount of network data?
Then How to achieve faster internet connection?
1. Increase the baud rate, adopt more advanced coding method (PAM4)
2. Increase the number of optical fiber cores, adopt MPO / MTP connectors (MPO-12, MPO-24, MPO-16, MPO-32)
3. Increase the number of wavelengths such as division multiplexing CWDM / DWDM / SWDM
and use better optical fibers
